A customized Summer program for Children ages 5 - 13.

The Summer program is designed for ages 5-13.  The program teaches life skills and healthy living in an interactive atmosphere. The children will learn about all aspects of running a business, finances, banking, budgeting, marketing, merchandising, advertising, overhead involved in running a business, scheduling, and stocking.  The children  will learn other life skills like cooking, growing their own food, the difference between organic foods and non-organic and teach them how food can affect their bodies.

This is an interactive program where the children apply what they learn in real time. There will be a store set up for the children to run as their business. The business is an organic lemonade stand where the children will sell organic lemonade, and the produce they grow. There may be an additional bonus with the baked goods they learned how to make.

The program gives kids values and confidence they need to go through life. They are going to learn and earn. Every Week the children figure out their overhead and pay for the cost of the running the business out of the proceeds of what they sold. Whatever is left over they get to keep. Every Friday is payday (they love this part).

Each day consists of the children learning about:

Managing Money

Positive thinking and the outcomes of it

 Healthy lifestyle

Organic Gardening

Producing and marketing a product

market research to price their products

Food preparation, recipe creation, and cooking

Game area for a little fun and relaxation (after a hard days work)

A typical day will start at 9:00 AM with the children figuring out the schedule for the day. After the schedule is done they get busy making the lemonade because every batch is made fresh daily, then they start setting up the lemonade stand. Setting up the lemonade stand involves picking produce that is ready to sell and packaging and pricing it competitively. The children also stock the stand with items needed to serve the lemonade and any other items they are selling. Then they get the cash drawer ready making sure there is enough change. Once all that it done the first shift is out and ready to sell. The shifts are run by two children for one hour changing shifts every hour.  The time the children are not working the stand they are learning about different subjects mentioned above or relaxing playing some games together. The  stand opens at 11:00am and closes at 3:00pm unless the children choose to stay open longer.

(activities are subject to change)

We involve the children in the decision making process to help them develop critical thinking skills. Giving the children financial independence makes it an easy summer for mom and dad too financially.

This program is about teaching life skills and healthy choices in a fun loving atmosphere.

Lunch is not provided so we ask that you please pack a healthy lunch.
